ECPAT International is a global network of organisations and individuals working together to end all forms of commercial sexual exploitation of children (child prostitution, child pornography and the trafficking of children for sexual purposes). It seeks to encourage the world community to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free and secure from all forms of exploitation.
Committed to concrete action and focused on children’s rights, ECPAT’s activities are aimed at promoting and ensuring prevention and protection from sexual exploitation for all children, and justice and support for those that fall victim to these crimes. ECPAT works with governments, decision makers, children and civil society to reinforce and enhance the systems of protection that safeguard the right of children to live free of such harm. ECPAT groups monitor progress in fulfillment of government commitments in countries around the world to ensure that the rights and welfare of children are upheld. The campaign “Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People” will bring an added and powerful global voice to call for the rights of children to be protected.
